Hosting & server logs

This website is hosted on a managed server within the EU. When a page is requested, technically necessary server log data is processed (e.g. IP address, date and time, the file requested, sent by your browser). This is necessary for secure, stable operation and for detecting and preventing attacks — our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Recipient: our hosting provider, whose server is located in the EU. Log files are rotated automatically by size (10 MB per file, up to ten archives) and older files are deleted; they are not combined with other data.

Fonts

Fonts are served locally from this server. No external font CDNs (such as Google Fonts) are used; loading a page makes no connection to third parties.

Contact form and email

If you contact us — by the form on this page or by email — we process the data you provide: your name, email address, optional company or website, and your message. We use it only to answer your enquiry. Where your enquiry concerns a possible contract, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; otherwise it is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us. Submitting the form is voluntary, but without a name, email address and message we cannot reply.

Your message is not stored on our web server; the form delivers it as an email through Google's mail service, since our mailbox is hosted on Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). This means Google may process your data in the USA. Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission's adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR) recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection.

We delete your enquiry once it is handled, at the latest 12 months after our last contact with you, unless a business relationship follows — correspondence that then qualifies as a business letter is kept for the statutory retention period (§ 147 German Fiscal Code, AO).

Right to object

Where we process your data under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest), you have the right to object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to that processing — Art. 21 GDPR. Write to the email address above.

Analytics & cookies

This website uses no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies and embeds no external analytics services.

Your rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21, see above). To exercise these, contact the email address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — for us, the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, HBDI), Wiesbaden.

No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR takes place.
